El Programa Servicios Médicos de JUNAEB Pesquisa problemas de salud relacionados con rendimiento escolar y otorga atención completa a los escolares que presentan problemas visuales, auditivos y de columna. Este año por motivos de pandemia los profesionales especialistas del área médica de Fundación Lupa capacitaron a los apoderados para realizar estos diagnósticos de forma remota.

Más de 1.500 son los estudiantes que son beneficiados con esta iniciativa que comprende 31 establecimientos entre municipales, particulares y particulares subvencionados de Conchalí. A los estudiantes de 1° básico se debe aplicar el examen de otorrino, desde 1° a 6° básico se debe aplicar el examen de oftalmología y finalmente los niños y niñas de 7° básico les corresponde realizar el examen de la columna.

Para El Alcalde René de la Vega esta iniciativa es de mucha ayuda “porque los apoderados aprenden a revisar de forma médica a sus hijos e hijas, si se detecta algún problema tienen todos los contactos y canales ce comunicación para dar aviso oportuno para hacer seguimiento y tratamiento”, cerró.

Finalmente, el tratamiento consiste en la atención de la problemática encontrada, y al menos un control anual a cada beneficiario del programa que esté en tratamiento. Es importante que un adulto acompañe a los niños/as a los controles y sea responsable de fomentar el buen uso y cuidado de los materiales entregados por JUNAEB.
