Porque los adultos mayores son el corazón y la sabiduría de Conchalí, la Corporación de Educación, Salud y Atención de Menores, presidida por el alcalde René de la Vega, en conjunto con los integrantes del Programa Más Adultos Mayores Más Autovalentes, convocaron a 45 representantes de todos los CESFAM de la comuna que durante el año fomentaron el liderazgo en la tercera edad.

Una vez adquirido los conocimientos, ellos y ellas transmiten la información relevante a sus parares en organizaciones o clubes pertenecientes, como por ejemplo: estrategias para el cuidado de quien atiende al adulto mayor, primeros auxilios básicos en salud, entre otras materias.

Para el alcalde René de la Vega, el hecho entregar herramientas prácticas a los adultos mayores de Conchalí “nos llena de profundo orgullo porque nosotros los capacitamos en temáticas que nacen desde su propio interés, así formamos una red de vecinos que absorben los conocimientos de los líderes llevándonos tener una población más informada, participativa y activa”, concluyó.
